AGBU and Creative Armenia have jointly announced the recipients of the 2026 Creative Armenia-AGBU Fellowships—a one-year program that provides five exceptional artists with a $5,000 grant, mentorships with industry leaders, and diverse promotional opportunities.
As partner with Creative Armenia since the inception of its fellowship program, AGBU expressed its congratulations and best wishes to the 2026 recipients, including visual artist Garush Melkonyan; composer and musician Joseph Bohigian; filmmaker Ophelia Harutyunyan; musician and sound designer Armen Papyan; and writer Lika Zakaryan.
“Every year, the latest cohort of Creative Armenia Fellows once again proves that there is never a shortage of exceptional creative talent across the Armenian World. We wish the 2026 Fellows a transformative experience that will boost their careers in substantive and meaningful ways,” stated Ani Manoukian, AGBU Central Board member.
The five selected Fellows will join the Creative Armenia-AGBU alumni community, including musicians, visual artists, curators, filmmakers, writers, and animators who have already received Creative Armenia and AGBU support, accelerating their careers and now serving as cultural ambassadors for Armenia.
“We are proud to enter a new season of partnership with AGBU,” said Garin Hovannisian, founder of Creative Armenia. “Together we are creating a new wave of Armenian culture, which will be felt for generations to come.”
