YPLA’s civic-minded and benevolent mission to preserve and promote the Armenian identity and help make Armenian communities thriving places to live encourages sponsors to donate to the evening’s cause. Proceeds from AGBU YPLA’s Summer Soiree will help support AGBU Children’s Centers. The Children’s Centers are after school programs located in the Yerevan suburbs of Arapkir, Malatya, and Nork. Children receive instruction in studio and performing arts as well as gymnastics, religious studies and computers. After 25 years of success, the three centers are ready to meet the demands of changing times with a major overhaul of its facilities that will double the student population to 4,000.
