On Wednesday, November 2nd, Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian and invited guests joined AGBU MDS Board Members, Administration and Student Council at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian school for a press conference to announce Armenian Cultural and Civic Organization State Budget Awards to five Armenian Cultural and Civic Organizations.
The California State Budget awarded grants totaling $1.75 million, with AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School receiving $750,000. The funds will be used for the Collaborative Learning Center project, a crucial improvement for our students, team- and project-based learning, and staff recruitment, training, and retention.
The Armenian Bar Association, Ararat Home of Los Angeles, Camp Arev, and Homenetmen Hrashq also received substantial grants through the efforts of Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian. We are grateful to Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian’s tireless efforts over the years to increase community awareness, support, and recognition.
