On December 7, two devoted AGBU members, Hrag Ohannessian and Harry Sinanian, were honored by the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church during their 16th Annual Christmas Ball. During this annual event, H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian Primate of the Western Diocese, recognizes different Armenian professionals who volunteer their time in different fields. Ohannessian and Sinanian were among the seven professionals recognized that evening for their volunteerism and dedication to the community.

Prior to becoming an AGBU Western District Committee member, Hrag Ohannessian, served as the AGBU LA San Fernando Valley Chapter Chair for four years, organizing and managing all of the events, programs, and fundraisers held by the Chapter. Professionally, he is the Senior Vice President of Sales for a publicly held U.S. company, Universal Electronics. He runs the business line and is responsible for their global sales for home automation, security, and the hospitality channel.

Harry Sinanian is a partner in a construction real estate development company, Sinanian Development, Inc. He has been part of AGBU Asbeds for over 15 years, and in 2018, he was elected as Chairman of the board. Under Harry’s leadership, and with the help of a motivated and dedicated team, the AGBU Asbeds have organized numerous events to support key AGBU projects, such as the American University of Armenia. Further, he helped the committee pledge $130,000 to the Armenian American Museum project in Glendale.

All honorees were given a beautiful Certificate of Blessing & Commendation from the Church. The AGBU Western District congratulates Hrag Ohannessian and Harry Sinanian for receiving this honor.
