AGBU Pasadena-Glendale and LA-SFV Scouts Help Provide School Supplies for School in Sarigyugh, Armenia

On Friday, August 16, 2019, AGBU’s Discover Armenia group visited a school in Sarigyugh, Armenia to donate 216 backpacks and stationery to the students. The stationery that was donated was partially brought to Armenia by program participants and partially purchased in Armenia with a $500 donation from the AGBU Pasadena-Glendale and AGBU LA-SFV Scouts groups and a $500 donation from AGBU Strategic Advisory Committee member Nora Balikian.

The Discover Armenia group was welcomed by the village mayor, the principal and schoolchildren, who were all very happy and excited to receive the school supplies. The mayor of the village prepared and presented a certificate of gratitude for the AGBU Scouts from Los Angeles for their generous donations.
