The Armenian Bar Association (ABA) convened its 29th annual meeting in Shushi, Armenia from May 23-June 2, 2018. Nearly 50 members of the ABA attended the annual meeting, which delved deep into examining the work of the previous year as well as planning for future activities, including selecting a new executive leadership team for the 2018-2019 year.
Gerard V. Kassabian of Beverly Hills, CA was appointed Chairman. Kassabian is a top-rated laywer who owns and operates a law firm bearing his name, specializing in trusts and estates, real estate and family law.
Kathy L. Ossian of Detroit, MI was appointed Vice Chairperson. Ossian is the founder and CEO of Ossian Law, P.C., a firm focused exclusively on Information Technology Law.
Lucy Varpetian of Los Angeles, CA was also appointed Vice-Chairperson. Varpetian is a Senior Assistant City Attorney in the Glendale City Attorney’s Office, with extensive experience in city governance including advising the municipality’s City Council and its Civil Service Commission.
Saro K. Kerkonian of Los Angeles, CA was appointed Treasurer. Kerkonian is a workers’ compensation law specialist certified by the State Bar of California and works as a Senior Trial Attorney as house-counsel for Farmers Insurance Company.
Liz Al-Dajani of Evanston, IL was appointed Secretary. Al-Dajani specializes in state and federal appellate advocacy as well as Middle East business transactions.
