AGBU YPLA Hosts Networking Lunches

May 11, 2018

IMG_1434On Friday, May 4th, AGBU YPLA hosted multiple Networking Lunches all throughout Los Angeles. Armenian Young Professionals had the unique opportunity to meet fellow professionals who work near them in the cities of Glendale, Downtown LA, Woodland Hills, Santa Monica, and Santa Clarita. We had participants from diverse areas such a health, technology, law, and literature.

While having lunch, participants learned about different industries, exchanged business cards, and grew their network. It was interesting to see how people working at the same company for years, met for the first time because of this lunch. ”It’s crazy how I’ve been working at PwC for this long and had no idea there were other Armenians here with me,” confessed one of the DTLA lunch attendees. Others loved connecting with peers in the same field and hearing about their different experiences. This was the first of it’s kind for the YPs and it was a major success. “I tend to have lunch alone in front of my computer, so this was so nice to walk out and meet other Armenians around me,” said one attendee from the Santa Monica lunch at Water Grill.

AGBU YPLA will host a lunch every quarter from now on so don’t miss your chance to meet new people and find out about various job opportunities! Let us know if you work in an area that differs from the locations listed above and we can accommodate our lunches accordingly. See you at our next lunch!
