THE WESTERN DISTRICT IS EXPANDING!

January 11, 2017

The AGBU is the largest Armenian non-profit organization in the world and serves over 500,000 people annually. The organization’s 110 year-long history is unmatched; with over 85 programs in 28 countries, the AGBU has a vast and impressive global presence. The AGBU effectively carries out the mission of its founder, Boghos Nubar, and has become one of the most influential organization for the Armenian community globally.

The Western District is home to the largest group of Armenians outside of Armenia and we are always looking to grow and further serve this vast community. In 2016, we had numerous new volunteers join us and we expanded into Texas with our new Young Professionals Houston group.

The District asks that our existing volunteers help us continue expanding our reach by inviting your family and friends to be involved with AGBU. There are many opportunities for all ages to get involved on different levels and we hope that you can help us spread the word.

Please contact me if you would like to get more involved with our chapters and committees or assist with special events. Furthermore, please share this information with anyone who is interested in volunteering for a historic and reputable organization.

If you would like to start a new chapter or a committee that does not currently exist, please contact me.

The Western District is very excited about the year we have planned ahead and we look forward to working with those who are eager to be a part of history.
