The 2nd Annual Armenian Fest was a great success and much of it was due to the athletics portion which included friendly competitions among AGBU and guest teams. These games and competitions could not have been possible without the dedicated help of the Pasadena-Glendale Chapter’s Sports Committee. This committee of volunteers, chaired by Vahe Boynerian, devoted all three days of their weekend to AGBU, helping execute the games as well as cheering and supporting our athletes.

Nine other girls’ and boys’ basketball teams and five other girls’ volleyball teams were scheduled to play with AGBU that weekend due to the diligent efforts of Pasadena-Glendale Athletic Director, Khatchig Kejejian. AGBU teams won 15 out of 19 basketball and volleyball games scheduled.

This sports weekend would not be possible without the tireless efforts of these enthusiastic individuals, the AGBU Western District thanks the Sports Committee, our coaches, and the referees for their help and support.
