The Asbeds Committee organize an annual essay competition for both, Manoogian-Demirdjian School & Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School.

This year’s topic was orchestrated around AGBU’s 110th anniversary, whereby the students had the option to write their thoughts in either Armenian or English about 110 years of AGBU’s mission, achievements, challenges, present & future roles in the community, etc.. The winners for each category were announced on Saturday, June 4, 2016 during commencement as follows:

From AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School received the followings:

Gold – Vahe Yacoubian

Silver – Lori Horhor

Bronze – Michael Ganian

From AGBU Marie Manoogian-Demirdjian School received the followings:

Gold – Jennifer Yedigarov

Silver – Lori Patatian

Bronze – Aleena Sorfazian
