On Wednesday the 13th of May, President Berge Setrakian visited the Western District of the AGBU at the Fellowship Hall of the AGBU Vatche’ & Tamar Manoukian Center in Pasadena accompanied by Mr. Sinan Sinanian, Vice President and Talin Yacoubian, AGBU Western District Chairwoman.
The Town Hall style meeting opened by Ms. Yacoubian welcomed the President to the District.
The evening was well attended by Chapter, School, Committee and Special Program Chairpersons and Board members. Well over a 100 dedicated AGBU members enjoyed the hour long report of President Setrakian about the recently concluded 88th General Assembly in Yerevan, recent additions to the Central Board as well as the directions for the upcoming years.
During the Q&A that ensued, questions came from a wide audience covering subjects such as youth, schools, supporting Armenia, Armenians in Syria and future of the AGBU. The President and Vice President answered openly and without reserve. The evening overall was a great success and an excellent launching point for the new WDC to begin its work following the recent Centennial Commemoration activities.
